Whitney Houston 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody' Movie Trailer

I Wanna Dance With Somebody, a biographical film about the singer and actor's life and career, has just published its debut trailer.

I Wanna Dance with Somebody charts the late singer's journey "from New Jersey choir girl to one of the best-selling and most awarded recording artists of all time."

The documentary will explore Houston's ascent to prominence and her acting career debut in 1992's The Bodyguard, a romantic film in which she costarred with Kevin Costner.

The film also stars Ashton Sanders, Stanley Tucci, Tamara Tunie and Clarke Peters, and is the work of Bohemian Rhapsody screenwriter Anthony McCarten and director Kasi Lemmons.

Many movies have been made about Whitney Houston's life and demise because the singer struggled with drug addiction and passed away in 2012 at the age of 48 after drowning in a bathtub at a Beverly Hills hotel.

Other viewers expressed distaste for the movie because of its creators: The Houston Estate is represented by Pat Houston, the singer's sister-in-law.

Fans have already criticised The Houston Estate for starting a Whitney Houston hologram tour in 2019, which many saw as an unethical endeavour.

The film is set to premiere in theaters on December 21, 2022.
